Prenatal Massage
A prenatal massage is a lot like a typical Swedish Massage, though it has been designed to accommodate the changes happening in the body during pregnancy.  The prenatal massage at Enable Joy are safe and appropriate  during pregnancy and postpartum.  Enable Joy's staff is trained in MotherMassage ^R

Swedish Massage
A system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques working superficial  to deep, combined with active and passive movements of the joints. The amount of pressure used is determined by the client.  The client can choose a whole body massage or request work on just a specific area such as neck,  shoulders and back. Benefits include increased circulation, reduction of muscle tension with the added benefit of deep relaxation

Labor Support Classes
For each stage of labor there is an appropriate technique available to support the laboring woman.  Counter pressure, sacral tilts, acupressure point stimulation, and effleurage can all be utilized to alleviate some discomforts associated with labor.  Individual or group classes are available for couples who wish to have personal instruction.  

Birth Doula Services

Postpartum Massage
The physiological changes that accompany pregnancy do not abruptly end when the pregnancy is complete.  The Postpartum massage addresses the physical and physiological changes in the immediate, puerperium and extended postpartum period.

Chair Massage
Enable Joy is pleased to offer chair massage.  Chair massage involves the client sitting, fully clothed, on a special chair that gives the practitioner access to the client's back and arms.  It is a great option to offer in a corporate setting or social function.
