International Childbirth Education Association
  (ICEA) An organization of over 4,000 members from throughout the United States and 42 countries who believe in freedom of choice based on knowledge of alternatives in family-centered maternity and newborn care.


DONA International  A resource for information on doulas.  If you are looking for information or if you are ready to find a birth or postpartum doula, this organization is a wonderful place to start.  DONA international is a global community with a shared passion for families.  It is the  largest and most respected doula association in the world. DONA International certification is a widely respected measure of quality and professionalism.   DONA International promotes continuing education for doulas and provide a strong communication link among doulas and between doulas, families and the medical birthing community


Lamaze International  This organization promotes, supports and protects normal birth through education and advocacy. They envision a future  world of confident women choosing normal birth.  Lamaze International believes that women who are fully informed, confident and supported will want normal birth. Lamaze International believes that caregivers should respect the birth process and not intervene without compelling medical indication.


La Leche League International  Get breastfeeding help, learn about breastfeeding and the law, find resources for health care providers, talk to breastfeeding mothers in your area, and more.


MomsRising is working to bring together millions of people who share a common concern about the need to build a more family-friendly America. Started in May of 2006, MomsRising has gained over 140,000 citizen members and is rapidly growing. More than 85 national and state organizations have signed on to be aligned with MomsRising.
